Saint Basil's Cathedral is the widely-known symbol of Moscow and Russia. It is the most meaningful, the most-recognized and the most beautiful example of Russian architecture. It is located in the heart of Moscow, on Red Square.

The Cathedral was founded in 1555-1561 by Ivan the Terrible request. It was popular to mark all the governmental victories, and Ivan the Terrible was not an exception. Saint Basil’s Cathedral commemorates the capture of Kazan.

Nowadays the Cathedral is a part of Historical museum and open for visitors.
